Lara Sarkissian is an electronic composer, sound artist, DJ and co-founder of Bay Area based experimental label CLUB CHAI. Sarkissian has released music with labels Tresor, All Centre and CLUB CHAI. She is a resident on NTS radio with shows highlighting her varied style of mixing across subgenres in dance and electronic - techno, bassline, acid, UKG, footwork and dubstep weaved together with non-Western percussion.
Her production revolves around non-Western samples, often paying homage to her Armenian heritage, but always underscored with an electronic rhythmic pulse that draws from a deep appreciation for club music. She has worked on 360-degree immersive installations across Europe and the US, with inclusive and spatialised sound coupled with visual pieces, projections and live performances.
PLUM is the Austin-based techno project of Mitch Lamon. Since late 2018 the Canadian-born producer embarked on challenging Austin’s night-life by constructing/performing underground nomadic tunnel parties with outfit of @freqsystem and @1222.productions . The pop-up parties feature a myriad of artists and genres ranging from disco to hardcore, in where Plum places their particular ear for a broad spectrum of dystopian, gritty, industrial-laden techno tracks.
