About Event

This is a presale-only event. No tickets will be sold at the door.

We continue celebrating 10 years of Subtract Music with two absolute legends deeply responsible for creating the West Coast dance music scene. First off, we have the Founder of DEEP Los Angeles, the one and only Marques Wyatt. With an absolutely mental touring schedule, we were lucky enough to have him carve out time in his busy calendar to visit us on the pier again. Having just celebrated 21 years of DEEP, Marques's passion for music is as strong as ever. Joining him is another one of our favorite DJs, Garth, who is a Co-Founder of the famed Wicked Sound System from San Francisco. With Wicked about to turn 30 years young, we're excited about this man's legendary all-vinyl set for his debut on the pier.

Subtract On The Pier is a Subtract Music production, featuring crystal clear and powerful sound, incredible open air ocean views, immaculate line ups and some of the vibiest crowds around. Ohh, and then there’s the no-phone policy, so let’s dance like no one is watching!

About Subtract Music

Subtract Music is a Los Angeles-based record label, event production, and an artist collective, shaping the West Coast dance music scene since 2011. Born from a shared passion among a small group of friends led by founder Anton Tumas, Subtract set out to create a platform for emerging and innovative talent, establishing itself as a vital pulse in LA’s sonic landscape.

The label's first relase was titled “Black Rock City” by then-rising talent DAVÍ, paired with an atmospheric remix by Robert Babicz, earning the label underground cred. Since then, Subtract has pursued a slow and deliberate, quality-first ethos, crafting a catalog that spans deep house, techno, and electronica. Standout releases showcase the label’s knack for talent, exemplified by Pezzner's melancholic "Evelyn", Babicz’s catchy "Beautiful", or Vinayak A’s experimental cut “Set Her Free”. Remixes by the likes of John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Matthew Dekay and Stimming further elevated the roster. This fusion of emerging talent and seasoned veterans cemented Subtract Music as an uncompromising force.

Subtract’s reach beyond the studio includes its long-running Subtract On The Pier residency (now in its 10th season), showcasing local heroes like Doc Martin alongside global talents such as Patrice Bäumel and Max Cooper. Subtract Music also produces the Love Long Beach Festival, drawing over 10,000 attendees annually with its blend of cutting-edge music and community spirit. Meanwhile, Subtract sound powers some of LA’s top underground gatherings. At Black Rock City, their large-scale sound systems have set a new standard for immersive experiences on the playa.

With a slow-but-steady release schedule and an unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries, Subtract Music continues to evolve, championing the underground electronic movement with every beat.
